The generation of renewable energy, like wind and solar, is growing fast. But the landscape is also confusing for many consumers. All those suppliers, state laws and energy sources that are available in some areas, but not in others. Not to mention figuring out just how best to tap into sources of clean energy as a mere residential consumer.
That’s the problem Washington, D.C.-based Arcadia Power targets. Launched five years ago, the online energy services platform allows consumers—homeowners and renters, alike—to have access to available renewable energy. The company gets paid every time it matches a customer to a clean energy source.
“Our mission is to make it easy for anyone to choose clean energy wherever they live,” says CEO and founder Kiran Bhatraju.
